DELPHii’s eclectic combination of sounds – drawing influence from Carole King, Led Zeppelin, and Ella Fitzgerald – is a niche in itself. In anticipation of her forthcoming Lilac EP, Angelene Holmes aka DELPHii takes her heavenly vocals and artistic vision to new heights on her new track “Tell Everyone”.

Following her debut single “Lilac”, the latest track “Tell Everyone” is unbound by its density. Possessing a sophisticated pop chorus, subjugating guitars match the nonchalant central lyric: “you can tell everyone it’s my fault”. As the track fills out with the pastel-coated synths, the lulling beat unravels into a vast production.

DELPHii’s vocal hits home with her Prince-like falsetto, introducing a new strain of emotional directness to her sound. Driving in mood, the track represents the notion of making peace with two sides of a story.

“‘Tell Everyone’ looks back on a relationship in retrospect, finding clarity, and despite everything & everyone else, deciding not to worry about it anymore,” explains DELPHii. “I suppose it’s a declaration of inner peace but with a massive ‘fuck you’ for good measure.”

“Tell Everyone” is out now and the Lilac EP is due for release on 16 July via Youngfrau Music. Find DELPHii on Instagram.
