Her captivating debut “Make It Rain” marks the start of a new chapter for singer/songwriter Vanessa Gimenez. As part of Swimming Girls, she supported the likes of Pale Waves, played slots at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, The Great Escape, Dot To Dot and Live At Leeds and amassed millions of streams.

Emerging out of the other side, “”Make It Rain” was the first song written for this project,” Gimenez explains of this new venture. “To me, it’s about retaining that childlike sensibility that is full of hope and dreams. A mindset that a lot of people lose once they grow older.”

With its crashing synths and emotive lyrics, “Make It Rain” takes cues from Carly Rae Jepsen’s E•MO•TION and the actual ’80s to deliver a saccharine, nostalgic trip into a new world. Taken from her forthcoming debut EP, “Make It Rain” is just the beginning.
